Success Stories

Kennington Lane, Vauxhall, London Borough of Lambeth

Client: HG Living
Architects: rg+p / DMBA

Cass Allen was asked to provide air quality consultancy services in order to discharge an onerous condition within the outline planning approval requiring the inclusion of extensive mitigation prevent the exposure of future residents within the proposed flats near the Oval in London to elevated pollutant concentrations. The mitigation was originally indicated as necessary in the development’s previous Air Quality Assessment.

Having reviewed air quality monitoring data from the surrounding area, which showed considerable improvement in ambient pollution in recent years, it was concluded that it could be possible to discharge the condition by demonstrating that air quality at the site has similarly improved.
